In the production of yarn, a mechanical process is used to transform the bottles into a polymer without the use of chemicals that could be dangerous for the environment.
The study carried by ICEA using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method, in accordance with ISO 14040 e ISO 14044 standards, has established that the production of 1 kg of Newlife™, compared to the same amount of verigin polymer, helps to reduce the CO2 emissions (32%) which impact the global warming significantly, also guaranteeing water (-94 %) and energy (-64 %) savings.
